The Fletcher Moot, founded in 2017, is the world's first moot on cross-border insolvency law. SMU has the best track record in this competition with 3 championships and 3 podium finishes. The moot venue rotates every year.

Latest Highlights
Arushee Bhatnagar, Samantha Lim, Ng Wei Qi, and Tan Jia Yi won the 4th Fletcher International Insolvency Law Moot. The team was also the top ranked team in the preliminary rounds, and came in 1st-runner-up for Best Memorials. Arushee was named Best Oralist in the final, while Samantha was 1st-runner-up for Best Oralist in the preliminary rounds. The team was coached by Clayton Chong'14, and thanks WongPartnership for the generous sponsorship. SMU is the first university to win this moot twice, having won in 2017 as well. The 2020 edition saw around 30 teams participating, with the top teams competing in the oral phase in London. The championship final was judged by Lord Justice David Richards, Justice Kannan Ramesh, and Madam Justice Mincke Melissen.
