The International Criminal Court Moot in Den Haag, founded in 2005, is one of the 6 Grand Slam moots that SMU participates in regularly. With more than 100 teams participating annually, it is the world's largest and most prestigious moot on international criminal law and international humanitarian law. SMU has the best track record in this moot, having reached the final 6 times and won the championship 5 times. It is also the only university to have successfully defended the championship, the first such time in the history of Grand Slam international moots, and was the youngest ever university to have won the moot.

Shawn Ang, Samuel Chan, Chong Wei Xuan Allen, Meher Malhotra, Soon Wen Qi Andrea, and Tan Yoong San represented SMU in the 14th edition of this competition. The team won the championship, extending its tournament record. The team also won a record number of awards: Best Speaker, Best Prosecution Team, Best Defence Team, Best Government Team, Best Prosecution Memorial, Best Government Memorial, Best Memorials, Best Defence Counsel, and Best Team from Asian Region. The team was coached by Nicholas Liu’14 and Andrew Chia’20.
