International Criminal Court Moot

SMU has the best track record in this moot, having reached the final 4 times and won the championship 3 times. It is also the only university to have successfully defended the championship, the first such time in the history of Grand Slam international moots, and was the youngest ever university to have won the moot.

Philip C. Jessup Moot

SMU has been to the championship final of the world's oldest and largest international moot on multiple occasions, and in 2013 became the youngest ever law school in the history of the competition to do so.

As of 2023, SMU has regularly placed in the top-3 of the largest and most prestigious competitions in the world -- or Grand Slam moots -- including: the Jessup in Washington DC; the Vis in Vienna; the Vis East in Hong Kong; the Price in Oxford; the International Criminal Court Moot in The Hague; and the Investment Arbitration Moot in Frankfurt.
