The LAWASIA Moot, founded in 2005, is the main arbitration competition in the region for which the venue rotates between Asia-Pacific countries every year.
SMU has the best track record in this moot, having reached the international championship final 11 times, winning 5 times.

Shawn Ang, Li Zizheng, and Carrisa Low represented SMU in the 15th edition of this moot, which was to have been held in Mongolia. Due to the pandemic, the moot was held virtually instead. SMU won the championship, extending its tournament record to 5 titles. Carrisa also won Best Oralist. The team was coached by Gerome Goh'20, Andrea Seet'20, and Jayakumar Suryanarayanan'20.
