The Asia Cup Moot in Tokyo, founded in 1999, is a regional moot on public international law. SMU has one of the best track records in this moot, having reached 8 international championship finals and won 5. It is also the youngest ever university to have won the moot and holds the record for most Best Oralist titles.

After 5 rounds of competition, the team won the championship, and also Best Applicant Oralist and Best Respondent Oralist. The team was coached by Nicholas Liu’15 and Kartik Singh’18, with Benjamin Liow assisting.
