Public Interest Law, Community and Social Justice
Every great law school needs evidence of a commitment to research around issues of social justice. Our approach is to cross-over what has come to be known in Singapore as community law, through fields such as criminal law and procedure, criminal justice, family law, and law and animal welfare. These fields of legal service delivery have practical and theoretical research interests and colleagues in the cluster seek to explore issues at a jurisdictional and international level. In addition, considerations of the unique feature of Singaporean and Asian communities feature in the research direction of approaches to social justice scholarship, and access to justice themes.
