Legal Theory, Ethics and Legal Education
This Cluster focuses on broad and deep normative questions concerning amongst others the concept and purpose of law, how businesses and professionals including lawyers should conduct themselves by reference to ethical norms and the proper education of and for the benefit of lawyers and law students. We research on three broad and inter-connected disciplines namely (i) Legal Theory (the study of legal philosophy and jurisprudence, and law’s interactions with Regulation and Economics); (ii) Ethics (with a focus on Business and Professional Ethics including Legal Ethics); and (iii) Legal Education. These questions and disciplines are approached from the perspectives of both theory and practice.
