Seminar: Governance of Digitalisation and Sustainability
SYNOPSIS
Digitalization and sustainability are both widely discussed, but their nexus is underexplored and poses significant challenges for governments and industry alike. While digitalization would carry environmental implications, it also has the potential to contribute to sustainability.
What are the major issues faced by the governance system in aligning digitalization with sustainability? How should we harmonize sustainability and digitalisation? Based on the case study of central bank digital currency, solutions will be sought mainly through the paradigm of adaptive governance.
