Synopsis
In this ascendant age of digital banking and finance, it is ever more vital for regulators, stakeholders and legal experts to continually engage in conversations on the need and content of industry regulation. At the same time, global imperatives of social and environmental sustainability cannot be overlooked and require urgent attention.
The Centre for Commercial Law in Asia, Singapore Management University (SMU) and the Herbert Smith Freehills China International Business and Economic Law (CIBEL) Centre, UNSW Law & Justice are proud to bring you this Conference on Sustainable Banking and Financial Regulation in Asia: Principles, Practice and Innovation.
Bringing together industry stakeholders, regulatory officials and academics, the Conference will see discussion of the latest developments on important topics such as the treatment and adoption of digital currencies and assets; financial and prudential regulation of digital banking and assets; and sustainability practices and collaboration in relation to digital finance. Speakers include our Guest of Honour, Justice Ang Cheng Hock (Supreme Court of Singapore), and Ms Ipshita Chaturvedi (Dentons Rodyk), Ms Natalie Curtis (Herbert Smith Freehills), Mr Lam Chee Kin (DBS Bank), Mr Howard Silby (National Australia Bank), and Mr Tan Boon Gin (Singapore Exchange Regulation).
