Advanced Certificate in Law and Technology

SYNOPSIS

As technology is changing the way we do law, legaltech is transforming our workplaces from the inside out. While doing so, it is also producing new frontiers that need to be regulated by new laws. As the legal sector delves deeper into understanding the new patterns of emerging technologies, it faces new challenges and considerations on how to balance a new world of liberty and safety.

This programme is designed to help participants gain an understanding of the difference between LegalTech and technology law, as well as the impact of technology on existing laws. Participants will understand the current state of LegalTech and how to implement LegalTech in practice.

There are 10 modules offered in this programme which are organised into the following categories to better facilitate participants’ selection of modules and learning:

  • Foundation Knowledge
  • Legal Technology
  • Technology Law
  • Impact of Technology on Law

For a complete certificate, participants are required to take 7 out of the 10 modules, including Module 1.

Participants with legal training may be exempted from Module 1.
