SMU School of Law's LL.B. Auditing Programme

Company Law

 




 


Continuing Legal Education at the SMU School of Law invites you to apply to audit the Company Law course offered in Modified Term 2 of Academic Year 2016/2017. 

The course will commence on the week of 20 February 2017 and is expected to be completed by mid-May 2017, unless otherwise stated. Classes are held once a week, every Mondays from 7pm to 10.15pm. Note: the course is conducted together with the undergraduate students and audit participants are exempted from the course grading for various components such as class participation, class projects and final examinations. In addiiton, audit participants will not have access to the SMU Libraries and electronic resources (due to licensing agreement regulations).  However audit participants may wish to apply for external membership, details of which can be found here

The number of places available is limited. Registration will be subject to availability of places and the consent of the instructor in question, which is given on a case-by-case basis. A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the course, provided the audit participant has attended at least 75% of the relevant classes.

Auditing Programme is accredited as a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activity by the SILE (Singapore Institute of Legal Education) and participants who meet SILE's CPD requirements may claim Public CPD points. Participants who wish to claim CPD Points are reminded that they must comply strictly with the Attendance Policy set out in the CPD Guidelines. This includes signing in on arrival and signing out at the conclusion of the activity in the manner required by the organiser, and not being absent from each day of the activity for more than 15 minutes. Participants who do not comply with the Attendance Policy will not be able to obtain CPD Points for attending the activity. Please refer to www.sileCPDcentre.sg for more information.”
