SPEAKER
Carina Rogerio arrived in Singapore in 2011 as a Paris Bar Foreign practicing lawyer and joined the German International law firm Luther LLP as a junior associate in December 2011, whereby she was asked to develop a French Desk within the firm. She had 2 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, when she arrived in Singapore, a totally new legal and cultural environment. She had to quickly learn skills and tools which weren’t taught back then in Law School, such as doing business development, pitching new clients, nurturing a relevant network, managing teams and clients etc. By embracing such aspects of the profession, she became Senior Associate in 2013 and named Partner in less than 5 years after joining the firm.
Within that time, she decided to get trained as a Coach and a Mediator in order to strengthen different types of skills, such as communication, leadership and other soft skills, which resulted in a 1,500% increase in the turnover of the French Desk.
Alongside her lawyer career, Carina was also Board Director of the Belgium Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (formerly BLBG) as Luxembourg representative from Sept 2012 till Sept 2018. She became an International Coach Federation (ICF) certified coach in 2015 and reached the level of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) in December 2018. Up to this day, she remains an accredited Mediator at SIMI & SMC as well as a University Lecturer at the Singapore Campus of the Sorbonne-Assas International Law School.
Carina regularly collaborates with key business stakeholders in Singapore such as but not limited to the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) and the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), more specifically under their Future Law Innovation Programme (FLIP). She was part of the Global Legal Hackathon end February 2019 as a mentor to all the Singapore participating teams. Last year, she was Judge in the IMSG - the premier mediation competition for international universities in Singapore and will be a judge again this year. She regularly conducts training and workshops for Corporate Clients since 2016 in Profiling, Communication, Core Skills, Business Development and Leadership.
