SYNOPSIS
This F2F Executive Masterclass is intended to provide attendees with an understanding of the principles involved in expert evidence relating to both delay and quantum in construction disputes. These principles will be explored mainly in the context of arbitration, including the key considerations and practicalities arising from the tribunal’s directions and procedural orders.
The Executive Masterclass will include interactive elements to allow participants to consider how the principles of delay and quantum can be applied to real-life situations. Participants will be encouraged to consider the wider legal implications of these case studies, and how this may shape their approach to how delay and quantum expert evidence fits into a construction dispute.

SPEAKERS
Lee Baker
Lee Baker is a planner, delay analyst and Managing Director at FTI Consulting. He has multiple appointments as an expert witness and has testified in the High Court of Singapore.
Lee has nearly 20 years’ industry experience and specialises in time-related matters and programme risk management. He has been appointed to prepare expert reports and regularly advises clients on dispute avoidance and resolution. Lee has extensive international experience of high value mega-projects, across a wide-range of industry sectors. These include power generation, aviation, rail, high-rise buildings; oil & gas; prestige retail; and commercial developments.
His geographical experience includes projects located in: China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Qatar, Republic of Ireland, Russia, SAR Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
Chris Rudland
Chris Rudland is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Director at FTI Consulting. He has over 12 years of experience working on a wide variety of construction projects globally.
Chris’s previous roles included being the commercial consultant to a major international contractor on a flagship Public Private Partnership (PPP) project in Singapore, and being the ASEAN commercial lead for a global specialist contractor.
Having prepared for and participated in many arbitration and adjudication proceedings in recent years, Chris has practical knowledge and experience in international dispute resolution procedures. This includes working closely with legal teams, preparation of claim documents, computation and assessment of quantum and giving oral evidence to an arbitral tribunal.
His geographical experience includes projects located in: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
