Graduation Requirements
Degree and Step-Down Option
SMU will award the ‘Doctor of Law and Commercial Governance’ degree to students who successfully complete all requirements of the SMU DLGC programme.
Students who do not complete all the requirements for the DLCG degree but have successfully completed the coursework requirements (12 credit units) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and within two (2) years from admission will be awarded a ‘Master of Law’ (LL.M.) degree by SMU YPHSL if they do not have the same degree from SMU. SMU LL.M. degree holders can choose to receive a “Postgraduate Certificate in Law and Commercial Governance” instead.
