[SMULA] Recent Highlights on Law of Equity & Trusts

This webinar will examine recent decisions on the law of equity & trusts decided by Singapore courts and the courts of other major common law decisions.

The topics covered in this webinar include:

•		Trustee’s duties and decision-making processes
•		The nature and ranking of a trustee’s equitable lien in insolvent trusts
•		Fiduciary duties and remedial issues – including when fiduciary duties arise; whether bitcoin network developers owe fiduciary duties; the jurisdiction to award an equitable allowance, etc.
•		Disputes over the beneficial ownership of property

SPEAKER

Yip Man is a Professor of Law and the V3 Group Professor in Family Entrepreneurship in the Yong Pung How School of Law at the Singapore Management University. Her principal research interests are in equity & trusts, unjust enrichment and restitution and private international law. Her work has been cited by the Singapore Court of Appeal, the Singapore High Court and the High Court of England and Wales.
