SYNOPSIS


The talk and roundtable discussion on “Innovation in the Age of Big Data,” convened on behalf of Singapore Management University School of Law’s Centre for AI and Data Governance, in collaboration with the Berkman Klein Center, the Digital Asia Hub, and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, brings in Oxford Internet Institute Professor Viktor Mayer-Schöneberger to speak about his newest book “Reinventing Capitalism in the Age of Big Data,” and subsequently participate in a moderated roundtable discussion with expert attendees on data capitalism, the ways in which data is replacing money as the driver of market behavior, and how the law intersects with this new era catalyzed by the Big Data revolution. This event will serve as a Continuing Legal Education event and will bring together experts and interested participants from legal and technology spheres across Singapore and the globe, including delegation members of the German Digital Council.

Seminar fee of S$115* (inclusive of GST) applies.

 


b. Group discount fee

Group discount fee of S$100* (inclusive of GST) applies if there are at least 10 participants from the same organisation.

 


c. SMU Alumni fee (for LLB / JD / LLM graduates)

Seminar fee of S$100* (inclusive of GST) applies for SMU LLB / JD / LLM Alumni.


 

*Please note that there will be no refund of any fees paid should the participant cancel the registration/ fail to attend the seminar. However, registration is transferable. Notice of any change in participant should be sent to the Academy via email: smulawacademy@smu.edu.sg, by 3 May 2019.


 

SMU School of Law reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event. In such case, we will arrange for the refund of seminar fees paid.
